The 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission represents a veritable quantum leap in powertrain technology. The seven forward gears make for smaller shifts in engine speed than ever before. When shifting down through the gears, 7G-TRONIC's multiple downshift principle allows it to skip several gears, resulting in even more powerful acceleration in any gear.
