A quick response time is the strength of the Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system with crosswind stabilisation which it achieves through a combination of active suspension and passive damping. The optimised suspension system can adapt with split-second speed to changes in road conditions, thus ensuring first-rate road holding. For a particularly dynamic drive the Coupé’s speed-sensitive self-levelling suspension can lower by up to 10 millimetres from a speed of 60 km/h. As a result the air resistance and fuel consumption are reduced. This not only means outstanding comfort but also the highest possible handling safety.
In addition body movement when pulling away and braking is significantly reduced, as are roll movements when cornering. If the system detects strong crosswind gusts, the crosswind stabilisation function automatically helps the driver to stay in lane by modifying the wheel load distribution according to the direction and intensity of the crosswind in order to counteract its effect on the vehicle.
