The majority of accidents start long before the actual collision: with a lapse in concentration, poor visibility or an unanticipated hazard. So we have fitted the new C-Class with safety systems which promote relaxed motoring and help you to bring critical situations under control.
The COMAND control and display system with LINGUATRONIC voice activation[1] ensures that you can keep both hands on the steering wheel. When driving, you can also count on more than 60 electronic support systems. Some are designed to alert you in the event of a problem – the tyre pressure loss warning system, for example. Others are there to provide active assistance, such as the Electronic Stability Program ESP® and Brake Assist BAS. The ESP® and BAS sensors can detect hazardous driving situations – such as pronounced oversteer or understeer, sudden steering movements, emergency and panic braking – and can assist the driver accordingly.
[1] Standard on the C 63 AMG, optional for the C 200 K and C 220 CDI.
