The 5-speed manual transmission is standard for the B 180 and available for the B 180 CDI. The 6-speed manual transmission is available for the B 200.

The AUTOTRONIC continuously variable automatic transmission will do the shifting for you if you wish. It recognises your personal driving style and adjusts the engine speed accordingly.

Thanks to the continuously variable design of AUTOTRONIC, the B-Class accelerates without interruptions to the power delivery – in other words exceptionally smoothly. And because the engine always operates in the optimal engine speed range, AUTOTRONIC also ensures low consumption.

By nudging the selector lever or pressing the optionally available (at an additional cost) steering wheel gearshift buttons, you can also change manually between the virtual gears – for an even sportier drive. AUTOTRONIC is standard fitment for the B 180 CDI and B 200. It is optional for the B 180.
