

Stuttgart/Vienna – The new Mercedes-Benz Citaro FuelCELL Hybrid city bus is celebrating its world premiere from June 7 to11 at the UITP World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition in Vienna.
The fuel cell hybrid bus is the first vehicle in Daimler Buses’ new generation of fuel cell buses. It combines the advantages of the diesel-electric Citaro G BlueTec Hybrid, which was unveiled a few months ago, with those of the hydrogen-powered Citaro fuel cell buses, which have delivered impressive performance in fleet tests.

Stuttgart – Following an EU-wide call for tenders, Daimler Buses has been awarded a contract to supply Germany’s largest public transportation company, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), with 144 Mercedes-Benz Citaro LE city buses.
The company will begin delivering the buses to the German capital in October 2009. Deliveries will take place successively over a four-year period, with 50 buses to be delivered before the end of this year.

Stuttgart – " Scalpel please, sister! " is a sentence that in future might not only be heard in a hospital operating theatre, but also in one of the three new, large-capacity ambulances handed over to the Centre of Ambulance Services of the Government of Dubai.
From now on, it is the hospital that comes to the patient in Dubai.
